Theres no need to wait for a board to dry on one side before you ip it to paint the other side. Cut some triangular wood pieces with1-1/2 in. bases, then sand the sides on a belt sander to turn the pieces into sharply pointed pyramids. Now paint what will be the least visible side of the board, then ip it wet side down on the pyramids. The board wont rock around as you paint the other side and edges. And you can leave the painted board to dry right on the pyramids. When its dry, dab on a few dots of paint to cover any dimples left by the pyramid tips. Many thanks to Charles Golden, our pharaoh of paint, for raising our painting to the next level of efciency.
