When hes band sawing, Travis hooks the dust collector hose to a reducer mounted on the saws lower cover.
The saws factory dust port doesnt work very well. I was always sneezing through dust storms when sawing and then still had sweeping to do. With a metal-cutting blade in my saber saw, it was super easy to cut out the reducer hole. I just traced a circle, drilled a small entry hole for the blade and sawed out the circle. I caulked around the reducer on the outside of the cover, hooked up the dust collector hose, and now theres no more super-fine band saw dust filling the air.
