When it’s dark and there’s a power outage, we usually hunt for a flashlight. This is helpful, but limited to a small concentrated beam. Make it more useful by broadening the beam of light with a rubber band, a clothespin and a white paper plate. The paper plate can be bent to spread the light over a larger area.
