If caulk has dried in the top of the tube or spout, rendering the caulk gun useless, you don’t have to throw away the partial tube!

Cut the tube open with a utility knife and scrape the usable caulk into a zipper-seal freezer bag. Snip the corner of the bag and squeeze out the caulk like icing for a cake. — Robert W. Powell
