DIY Hand Scrub
Use a teaspoon of grease-cutting dish soap and a teaspoon of sugar to clean hands. The sugar provides grit to assist the soap in cutting through the grease.
I find that a good substitute for harsh hand cleaners is to use a teaspoon of grease-cutting dish soap and a teaspoon of sugar. The sugar provides extra grit to assist the soap in cutting through the grease on skin.
This combination works great after a long day in the shop. But don’t use salt by mistake, it’ll burn if you have even the tiniest of scratches on your hands. Ouch! — Jay Bjornstad
