Easy-On, Easy-Off Shop Apron You Can DIY
Hack your apron like this and you'll actually wear it in your shop!
My shop apron strings were constantly coming untied, so I started using a magnet to hold them together. I took two short pieces of 5/8-in. dowel, drilled a small hole in each, and threaded my apron strings through them. Then I took a rare earth magnet mounted in a steel cup and glued it to the end of one dowel and glued a steel washer to the other one. Now I just click my apron strings together when its time to work! Rare earth magnets are available at woodworking stores for about $15 per pack. Bruno Kotowski
