I had about a quart of leftover stain that I knew would be ruined the next time I wanted to use it. Thats because the can rim and lid were so crusty that there was no way it would ever reseal. What to do? My eye rested on all the canning gear my wife uses to can tomatoes and beets in my shop every fall. What could be a more perfect storage vessel than a hermetically sealed glass jar? Plus, it takes up a fraction of the space a gallon can does. Im going to start using these jars for varnish, paints, everything. Maybe Ill even score a blue ribbon at the county fair. Travis Larson
