How to Cut Narrow Strips on a Table Saw
Do you need to cut several narrow strips of the same size? It's easy to do on a table saw, especially with this quick jig. Travis shows you how in the video and description below.
Build a push block jig with an ear that is a bit wider than the strips you wish to cut.
For strips narrower than 1/4-in., cover the throat plate with masking tape and raise the spinning blade through the tape. (This keeps narrow pieces from falling through the table.)
Adjust the fence and cut the ear exactly the same width as the strips you wish to cut.
Fit the board into the jig and cut your strips. As many as you wish, each exactly the same width.
