Cutting list:

Two 38-in. x 8-in. stretchers

Two 27-1/2-in. x 23-in. legs

One 48-in. x 30-in. top

Two 26-in. x 3/4-in. x 3/4-in. side cleats

Two 12-in. x 3/4-in. x 3/4-in. end cleats

Saw 4-in. x 3/4-in. notches in the legs and stretchers, spacing them 3 in. in from the edge on the legs and 4 in. in from the ends on the stretchers. Tap them together to create an interlocked base. Lay the top upside down on the floor, then position the base so the top overhangs all four sides equally. Screw cleats on the top so they will fit just inside the base. Position them slightly away from the base to make assembly easy. Stand everything right side up and put your instant workbench to work!
