Reader Project: Artistic Work Station Built With Reclaimed Barn Wood

Pittsburgh-based artist, Chris Galiyas,paints murals all over the city for both residential and commercial clients. So he needed a place in his barn/studio where he could design his projects.

“I used old barn wood that I purchased from an architectural salvage and antique store. Next, I installeda live-edge countertop with corrugated metal underneath it. I wanted to off set the rustic wood with an all-white penny tile backsplash. This helped to break up the live-edge wood from the reclaimed barn wood.” Chris
