Reader Project: Cabin on Wheels
Ever since high school, Adam Fisher dreamed of turning a school bus into a “hunting and fishing cabin.” And here’s his masterpiece.
Ever since high school, Adam Fisher dreamed of turning a school bus into a “hunting and fishing cabin.” And here’s his masterpiece. It has a knotty pine interior, a TV and bunks for six, as well as a built-in air conditioner and a wood-burning stove for year-round comfort. Outside, there’s a rooftop deck. All this for less than $4,000 (and a couple thousand hours of work). The bus itself cost about $1,400.
“On our wedding day, my bus was the limo for the entire wedding party. It was quite a spectacle.” — Adam Fisher
