Making minor size adjustments to better fit his outdoor space, reader Ed Merkle built this stylish project using The Family Handyman’s Fabulous Fire Table plans, originally published in the April 2017 issue.

“The plans and the pictures were excellent and easy to follow,” Ed says. He constructed the base out of cedar to fit his 12×12-in. burner assembly. And with this being his first concrete countertop project ever, we think it looks pretty amazing. Great job, Ed!
