Scratch That Layout
Items that have mounting holes on the back can be tricky to hang level. To ease the layout process, make a template. Set a piece of paper over the backside of the item and rub over the outline and mounting holes with a pencil. Level and tape the template into position on the wall, then drill pilot holes and secure the fasteners. P.S. If the mount- ing holes are oddly spaced, make sure you don’t reverse the template when you tape it to the wall. — Ron Ross
