Most Annoying Pests
All pests are annoying, no matter where you live. But according to Google Trends, there are some pests that can be peskier, more prevalent or harder to get rid of than others, depending on where you live. Looking at online search data for five of the most common household pests, geography determines which ones draw the most attention.
To see what people are searching for state by state, we put five pests into a Google Trends report: Spiders, ants, mice, cockroaches and bed bugs. The data is based on the number of times that topic was searched on Google within that state.
Once the data was collected, two particular pests came out on top — bed bugs and mice. Surprisingly, ants seem to be the biggest annoyance in only two states. Cockroaches and spiders also showed up in a number of searches.
