Tiny homes roughly defined as any living space measuring fewer than 400 sq. ft. have been trending in a big way in recent years. Even would-be homeowners with minimal construction skills have easy access to their dreams of residing in a quaint, undersized abode, thanks to a growing amount of options on Amazon.

The latest popular standout: the super-modern NOMAD Micro Home, which costs a cool $38,800.

What Does It Look Like?

This micro home is a 13-1/2-ft. cube, with a main living area, full bathroom and lofted sleep space. The overall design is incredibly modern, with lots of clean lines and simple fixtures.

It features several large windows that let in plenty of natural light, and theres a surprising amount of storage in the kitchen and loft. The 182-sq.-ft. home is manufactured in Canada using 3D printing technology, and it can be shipped anywhere in the world.

Do You Have to Put It Together?

One caveat of purchasing this tiny home off Amazon is that assembly is required.

The NOMAD Cube is a DIY kit that can be assembled within days by persons with handyman-level skills, explains the seller. Leaving the assembly labor to the purchaser provides for a lower price.

Its worth noting that the kit doesnt include interior drywall or wall paneling, so youll need to purchase those separately. There are also add-ons available, including water management systems and solar power hookups, as well as connecting units that allow merger of two or more of the micro homes.

Other Tiny Homes to Buy

The NOMAD Cube might be making a splash on Amazon, but there are plenty of other modular tiny homes you can purchase online as well, and not just from the online retail giant. You can purchase a 225-sq.-ft. Allwood Garden House Kit from The Home Depot, for example, for around $14,000.

Assembly of most tiny home kits will take at least a few days. But you can also find tiny house builders, such as Tiny Heirloom, that will deliver a fully-constructed house right to your door or, rather, the place where youd like your new tiny homes door to be.
